Sanctus Real has a song that says: “Whatever your doing inside of me, it feels like chaos, somehow there’s peace, and though it’s hard to surrender, to what I can’t see, but I’m giving into, something heavenly.”
God often uses chaos, circumstances beyond our reach, to work in us. Our youngest son and his somewhat young family, only been married almost 2 years, are striving to strengthen their relationships to each other and to God and His church family. They are involved in the church they attend and working for Him so satan decides to attack.
There are the usual new blended family struggles that they have been working through and then Thursday while they were at work, someone broke into their house, robbed them and trashed the house in the process. They are still finding things missing as they continue to try and put everything back together. Most of the things are replaceable, but this is a family that is blending 7 children and on a tight budget. And, of course, there are some things that are irreplaceable, that hold memories that you cannot trade. But as I stated the other day, “Until you can see the work of God in the worst of circumstances you have not yet begun to see your life from the eyes of God.” pg 127 Uprising by Erwin McManus.
What makes it even more poignant is that my wonderful daughter (in-love) is a relative new Christ Follower. . She is especially new to being married to a minister and all that comes with it. She’s said numerous times, “all she wanted was a man of God”. She’s a strong woman though, and I know God is going to use her mightly.
