The chef and cafe owner Ellyn, is large and therefore decides she is unattractive so she buries herself in food. Sabina, the counselor, has come to Mendocino to heal and hide, to be invisible. Twila is a young woman, wise beyond her years, whose father abandoned her and because of the emptiness has developed an eating disorder.
Can these three women begin to see themselves as God sees them? Can they work through the issues that hinders them? Twila tells Ellyn that they are alike in some ways, and like them we often share the same vision. “It just means that we sometimes miss seeing Him in the most important thing He created. Us…..He sees our inner beauty – the condition of our hearts….”
INVISIBLE by Ginny L. Yttrup is a look into ourselves, for one reason or another, we all sometime wish we could be invisible.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it. I received Invisible free for an honest review from http://handlebarpublishing.com/
