cowboyI didn’t realize it when I requested COUNTING ON A COWBOY by Debra Clopton but it was the second in a series. I was pleasantly surprised as I had read and reviewed the first one. If only real cowboys were as handsome and charming as they always are in the novels I read. Smile

In the first book a newspaper columnist, Maggie was interviewing Tru Monahan which resulted in an article and TV program. Abby Knightly is recovering from a great loss and hopes to start fresh. She’s received hope and encouragement from Maggies column so decides to move to the small town that Maggie has wrote about.

On the way into town she almost hits a cow and cowboy, Bo Monahan, and wrecks her car. He comes to her aid but is cautious.

Bo was not thrilled about the column and TV program talking of all the hunky cowboys which has drawn women from all over hoping to snag one. She’s built walls due to her loss having decided she’ll never love again. Will be able to overcome the obstacles and trust God to heal and lead?

This is a cute story about trust, forgiveness and second chances. I think it is well worth reading and hope you will.

I received Counting On A Cowboy free for an honest review from Thomas Nelson Publishers.
