WHEN THE HEART RULES

TOTOWARD THE SUNRISE by Elizabeth Camden is a cute romantic novella of early America. Julia Broeder is a woman studying to be a doctor whose heart may rule her decisions from time to time. She was raised the daughter of the groundskeeper of the Dierenpark estate of the Vandermarks.

Ashton Carlyle is the young lawyer who oversees the estate and visits several times a year to inspect the estate. When Julia is expelled from the college the Vandermarks are paying for she must meet with Mr. Carlyle and seek his help. Will a romance develop with their differences?

This is a charming story with a somewhat surprising ending. I enjoyed it and could only wish it was longer.

I received this novella free from Bethany House for an honest review.
