PRISPRISON by Toni V. Lee was not what you would expect by the title. Toni weaves a story of a couple of police undercover detectives that is suspenseful, intriguing and romantic rolled into one.

Sonja Grey is a strong independent woman who hides her profession from her close friends and church family. Max Trent is a relatively new transfer to her unit that she has taken an instant dislike to. Their sergeant assigns them undercover on a case as a team. The suspect , Johnny Stone, a.k.a. Rock, under surveillance is using her church as a business location.

Two of the older church “Aunties”, Lenore and Euvinia, have taken Johnny under their wings as an interest and possible convert. Who will be the ones to get the best of Johnny, Sonja and Max, or Lenore and Euvinia?

Toni held me captive with her storytelling. I enjoyed the book and do not hesitate to recommend it.

I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers for an honest review.
