Kim Vogel Sawyer’s GRACE AND THE PREACHER is a good book although a bit predictable. You can immediately see where the story is heading and keep anticipating the climatic circumstances to evolve.

Grace Cristler is the niece of the retiring preacher in the town of Fairland, Kansas. Grace is the local postmistress, single. After her aunts passing she has assisted her Uncle with his correspondence and taken over the household, looking after him. Writing to the preacher Rufus Dille they developed a fondness and Grace is hoping to see what may develop between them.

Theophil Garrison is an orphan taken in by a distant family. The outlaw cousins branded Theo and coward for not going along with their scheme and are out for vengeance so he runs.  Conditions intervene and he’s mistaken for the new preacher of Fairland. What will happen when the truth catches up with Theo?

Kim is good at weaving a lot of good inspirational thoughts with some thought provoking comments. This not the first book of hers I’ve read and it won’t be the last.

I received a free copy from Blogging For Books, WaterBrook Publishing. No review, positive or otherwise, was required – all opinions are my own.
