When I requested to review PEACE IN THE VALLEY by Ruth Logan Herne I didn’t realize it was the third and final book in the Double S Ranch series. I had already read the first two books and was not disappointed in this one.
Trey Walker Stafford is the nephew and adopted third son of Sam Stafford and always felt as he didn’t fit. Sam was a heart broken man when his wife died and became focused on his ranch to the neglect of all of his sons. Trey went against his dads wishes to follow his heart and pursue music. When Sam needs a liver transplant and Trey is the best match, he returns.
Lucy Calhoun, a widow and single mother, has the ranch next to the Double S. With a history due to Sam’s unscrupulous dealings in the past, she doesn’t trust the Staffords.
Sam wishes to undo some of his past dealings by helping Lucy revive her farm and enlists Trey to do the job while they wait for the operation.
Will Trey find the peace he seeks? Will Lucy open her heart and forgive the Staffords?
I received a free copy from Multnomah, and WaterBrook Publishing Group. No review, positive or otherwise, was required – all opinions are my own.
