An Amish Christmas Love is a group of four narratives by women who are specialist at writing Amish stories.
In The Winter Cat by Beth Wiseman, Naomi Stoltzfuls, her mother Barbara, and grandmother Ruth, rent their daadi haus to three men. Eli is Naomi’s age, Wayne is her mother’s age and Jethro is close to her grandma’s age. Will they find love?
The Christmas Cat by Amy Clipston tells us of a recent widow, Emma Bontrager first holiday without her husband, the young neighbors and the stray cat that provide her with much needed company and purpose.
The Snow Angels by Kelly Irvin tells us about David Byler being torn between following an Englischer Bobbie McGregor, or remaining Amish and marry Molly.
Ruth Reid tells us about Ellie Whetstone, the child raised Englisch after her father dies and her mother returns to her Englisch family. Her dad’s sister dies and leaves her her Amish farm. The widowed and single father neighbor Ezra Mast is less than happy when she arrives, fearful that she will be influence his daughter.
All of these authors treat the Amish with respect and honesty in their writing. These are not the first I’ve read by any of them and I thoroughly enjoyed these novellas.
