THE WAYS WE’RE SIMILAR

manyLori Benton writes a lot of early Native American stories that should remind us all of how they were mistreated and persevered.  Many Sparrows is a hopefully the first of a new series.

Against Clare, his pregnant wife, wishes Phillip Inglesby heads west with their son Jacob.  The wagon breaks a wheel, and he heads back to get a replacement.  Clare goes into early labor and Jacob is taken.

Jeremiah Ring, hearing about the couple and the direction they’ve taken, travels to find them. When he reaches Clare she insists on going on with the hope that Jacob was rescued and taken to the next town.

As they travel and search for Jacob the journey becomes dangerous. The treaties continue to be broken and the Calvary and Indians have started fighting.

Will Clare find Jacob and get him returned? Will she her and Jeremiah find common ground and learn to trust each other?

Lori has written a book that should help us all to understand a little bit more that things are not always the way they are perceived and presented by each side.

I received a free copy from WaterBrook Publishing Group. No review, positive or otherwise, was required – all opinions are my own.
